Reply Magazine was founded to give young people the opportunity to express themselves on culture, society and politics, honestly and unapologetically. The larger mission of The Reply Group is to provide opportunities for youth to positively impact the world around them.
Andrew Roush, Editor-in-Chief
Andrew is a co-founder of Reply, and currently works for the UN Foundation in New York. A native Texan, Andrew has spent the past seven years actively involved in politics and journalism. During the pursuit of his degree in government at the University of Texas, Andrew was a contributing writer for the Daily Texan, the Texas Statehouse correspondent for The Examiner and Associate Director of the Global Leadership Center. He has worked in the Texas State Capitol and for a political and nonprofit strategy firm in Austin. He currently serves on the Board of Central Texas Model United Nations.
Jarrod Klawinsky, Managing Editor
Jarrod joined Reply Magazine as co-founder and Managing Editor in 2008. He is currently a media and public relations consultant and freelance writer covering varying topics that match his eclectic tastes. Amongst his journalistic endeavors, Jarrod is unflinchingly passionate about today’s youth. He believes that through outreach work done by various non-profit organizations such as The Reply Group, young people can be encouraged to take more active roles in their community.
Shawn O’Neill, Creative Director
A man of many tastes, Shawn applies his creativity to a wide range of projects. His recurring endeavors include participation in the Sketchbook Project and Via Colori (Houston), and coordinating production of graphics for Comicpalooza, an up-and-coming Houston convention. In the past, Shawn has had a part in organizing Model United Nations conferences as well as provided teens with leadership education and training. He is a fan of art and design, a follower of technology and social media, and loves a good meal. Shawn earned a BFA with a major in graphic design from The Art Institute of Houston and currently works as a professional graphic designer at the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy at Rice University.
Ashwin Kumar, Publisher and Chairman
A visionary and an idea guy, Ashwin enjoys making things happen, creating new opportunities and putting smart, capable people together to create endless new possibilities. From his early days in Model UN to the world of international business, Ashwin has cultivated a mind for creativity, strategy and leadership. Ashwin currently serves as the Director of Marketing for tei Technology, a global sales and marketing consulting firm in Austin, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently completing his Masters of Science degree in Technology Commercialization from his alma matter.
